Create a hand-embroidered artwork with Liz, the Gibson's Art Studio Lead, while exploring the world of graphic scores!
What is a score? Graphic scores are a tool that experimental artists and composers use to describe a performance or piece of music. Instead of traditional musical notes, graphic scores use abstract shapes, symbols, colors, lines, and words. Learn about the world of graphic scores while creating your own embroidered instructions! You’ll leave with a hand-stitched artwork that can be used as inspiration for making music, writing, or movement, or be appreciated as an abstract creation.
“Awesome experience, I liked it because there are many ideas that inspired me to play with my children. We really loved it and appreciate for the opportunity to join."
"I was surprised to learn how restrictions can benefit creativity."
“We absolutely loved our visit. The artists were very helpful and kind giving the kids and I lots of inspiration to get creative and think outside the box. We learned how to use different objects, materials and layer different applications to get unique and interesting results.”
