Facility Rentals
Located in the spectacular mountain setting on Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus, the Gibson Art Museum is pleased to make its facilities available for select rentals. Whether a cocktail party, intimate wedding or special meeting, the Gibson’s Library, Salon, Arya & Hamid Eshghi Forum, Audain & Karasawa Courtyard, and Andrew Petter Hall make for memorable occasions. We can offer anywhere from 200 to 700 square feet of space and accommodate up to 100 guests for standing receptions. Rentals are generally available after 6pm Wednesday to Sunday. Other times during the Gibson’s opening hours may be available throughout the year on a case-by-case basis. Please note that due to the changing nature of our exhibitions there may be considerations that restrict how the space can be used. Standing receptions can almost always be accommodated regardless of the exhibition on view.
Renters are responsible for catering, liquor licenses and other services required for their events. Please note that the creation, display or exhibition of artworks in the Gibson's galleries is not permitted by third parties during event rentals.
