Kazimir Malevich
Kazimir Malevich (1879-1935) was a prominent Russian painter and art theoretician, the founder of Suprematism, one of the key movements of the modernist avant-garde. Exhibitions since 1985 have taken place at the New Museum in New York (1994), the Kunsthaus Dresden (2004), the Sydney Biennale (2002), and the Venice Biennale (2003).
